Cupping with Acupuncture
-For returning clients-
New to cupping therapy?
Cupping works through the suction created by negative pressure within the cup. Cupping increases blood circulation, loosens muscles and connective tissue, and clears heat and toxicity from the body.
Cupping helps to draw old or stagnant blood cells, cellular debris, lymphatic fluid, and toxins out of the deeper tissues and up toward the surface, allowing for easier release from the body and improving overall blood circulation to the area.
From a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, cupping opens the meridians (energetic channels) and "releases the exterior" of the body.
A free and harmonious flow of Qi and blood are necessary to support the function of the body's tissues and organs. When that flow is obstructed, and the Qi and blood are stagnant, pain and dysfunction results.
Cupping helps to improve the flow of Qi and blood, allowing for improved overall function and healing.
I include minimal acupuncture with this treatment as a complementary support of the body, mind and spirit.
90 minute
Extended Acupuncture
-For returning clients-
This is a longer treatment for additional relaxation time and a greater opportunity for you to reset. The additional time allows for a more in-depth treatment, including time for further discussion, and ancillary treatments such as Cupping, Tui Na massage and Qi Gong.
New to Tui Na?
Tui Na is a therapeutic form of traditional Chinese medicine massage and refers to a wide range of body work techniques as treatment to address patterns of disharmony in the body.
Tui Na is intended to be both relaxing and invigorating. Traditionally, it is practiced over a sheet or clothing.
Use of rhythmic compression techniques along different meridians (energetic channels) of the body harmonize flow of Qi and establish balance. Applying pressure to meridians, acupoints, groups of muscles and the nervous system, Tui Na moves blockages and supports the natural, flowing, healing energy of the body.
New to Qi Gong?
Qi Gong means “to work with Qi.”
In traditional Chinese medicine, Qi is known as a persons vital Life force energy. Qi Gong is a system of coordinated body-postures, movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training.
Qigong uses simple often repetitive movements, poses and breathing patterns to promote a healthy flow of Qi. Proper flow of Qi supports the natural, flowing, healing energy of the body.
